Microsoft Campus Agreement for Students

As part of Stony Brook University's technology fee, the Division of Information Technology has an agreement with Microsoft allowing ALL registered Stony Brook students access to the following Microsoft products.

Where and How Students Can Pick Up/Purchase the Software
Students will need to take their valid Stony Brook ID to either the Seawolves MarketPlace or the HSC Bookstore in order to obtain the software. Stony Brook Southampton students should take their ID card to the Student Center - Room 104 to obtain the software. During the Fall and Spring semesters, after the add/drop period, the software will be available to all registered students. To keep track of software distribution, students will be asked to swipe their valid Stony Brook IDs. By accepting the software you are accepting the terms outlined in the Microsoft Campus Agreement.

The Seawolves Marketplace in the SAC will distribute the software only during the following hours:

  • 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Mon. - Thurs.
  • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fri.
  • 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Sat. & Sun.

 HSC Bookstore is open for distribution:

  • 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Mon. - Thurs.
  • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fri.
  • 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Sat.

Troubleshooting/Support

Client Support will provide installation/troubleshooting support to students including:

  • Help with installations
  • Fielding general software questions
  • Diagnosing common problems
  • Assisting with operating system upgrades on a limited basis
