Tours & Class Visits
We encourage faculty to incorporate primary source material
into their curriculum and to bring classes to Special Collections and University
Archives. The reading room can accommodate up to 20 people and allows for
group discussion in a comfortable setting.
Manuscripts, rare books, photographs, drawings, and other library materials must
be approved in advance by the department head. Some
items may be too fragile or valuable to be used in this way. In some cases, facsimiles
or preservation surrogates can be provided. Library faculty can retrieve materials,
provide attendance sheets, and assist with the handling of items.
Instructors must be present during these sessions and security protocols respected
(please see our guidelines). We
kindly request that reservations be made two weeks in advance by contacting the
Head of Special Collections and University Archives. |
