Extent,Scope, and Content Note 
The collection is comprised of 15 cubic ft.  of papers, notebooks, journals, books, and artifacts created and/or collected by Graham Everett from 1969 to 2007. The majority of the collection is comprised of correspondence and manuscripts authored by Graham Everett or published by Street Press. Many of the papers contain notes and revisions in his own hand. The archive also includes literary broadsides, publicity material, literary journals, and books.

Historical Note
Poet, professor, and publisher, Dr. Graham Everett is the founding editor of Street Magazine and Street Press. He has worked as poet-in-residence at New York area schools, prisons, and arts councils from 1974 to 1986. Dr. Everett served as the interim director of the Poetry Center at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is currently a faculty member in the General Studies Program at Adelphi University, where he holds classes in critical reading and writing, expository writing, and the world of ideas. He donated his archive to Stony Brook University in 2006. Subsequent, incremental donations followed.
