Introduction
The University Artifacts and Memorabilia Collection (RG 62) was assembled
by the Special Collections Department and University
Archives. The collection is comprised of multiple accessions
of ephemeral material acquired over the years and contains items donated
to the department by faculty, staff and alumni.
Preservation steps have been taken in accordance with accepted
museum and archival standards for the storage of the collection’s
artifacts and textiles. Items have been removed from acidic containers
and housed in un-buffered containers.
In citing the collection, please credit it as follows: University Artifact
& Memorabilia, RG 62, University Archives, and Stony Brook University
Libraries. Materials within this collection may be located with the
use of the collection's finding aid, available in hardcopy and online
through the University's Libraries' web page.
