Special Collections and University Archives is committed to providing excellent educational and research opportunities to the Stony Brook University community, visiting scholars, and remote users

Collections may be consulted in the department's reading room by appointment, Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Advance notice is required for the retrieval of collections. Please contact the department head for reference assistance and to schedule an appointment.

Special Collections and University Archives is located on the second floor of the Frank Melville, Jr. Memorial Library, room E-2320. 


Stony Brook University is situated on an 1,039 acre site on the north shore of Long Island in southeastern New York, approximately 60 miles east of New York City.
