The CS Library welcomes
requests for acquisition of new material from both CS students and faculty.
Requests should be made for material, which supports the Departmental research
focus and teaching, especially on faculty and doctoral levels. A lesser
degree of consideration will be given to collection requests in reference,
undergraduate level titles, and adjacent science disciplines. The requests are not limited to books only, but can also include subscription to online and print journal and magazines titles. Placing a request with CS Library does not guarantee the item acquisition. All purchasing decisions are made by the CS Library Head depending on a budget situation, feasibility of purchase, and potential value of the requested title to the Department and Library patrons. Email your purchase requests to Karen Kostner with item details and a short justification for the request (why is it important to acquire the item, what purpose it serves, etc). The CS Librarian will get back to you after considering the request. |
