A part of Technical Services, The Digital Resources Department
manages the selection and acquisition of the libraries' collection
of online citation and abstract databases, electronic journal and
newspaper collections, and assorted other electronic resources in
support of the research and teaching needs of the University. In addition,
the Department manages access to these resources and implements other
services that facilitate their usage. The gateway to this collection
is the Libraries' Homepage.
In addition, records for this material are being added to STARS,
the Libraries' online catalog.
Digital Resources are available to current Stony Brook faculty,
students, and staff from any computer with an internet connection
and an up-to-date web browser. On site access to these resources
is available to everyone; remote access is limited to Stony Brook
faculty, students, and staff and requires authorization by username
and password.
