
The map collection includes a small collection of aerial photographs. Our most extensive coverage is for Nassau and Suffolk counties, and for New York City. We have spotty coverage for other areas in New York and New Jersey. Aerial photographs for other areas can be found in soil surveys and on the Internet. Details follow:
Long Island

Other Areas
1. Soil surveys. Most recent soil surveys from U.S. Dept. of Agriculture are based on aerial photographs. Stony Brook has an extensive collection covering the entire U.S. at the back of the science periodcals area.
