Korean Studies Scholarships for Undergraduates

Due to generous support from the Korean community and the Stony Brook alumni, the Korean Studies Program has offered various scholarship opportunities to both graduate and undergraduate students for past twenty years. We are pleased to announce that two undergraduate scholarships have been recently established and will be available starting spring 2009, one for each semester.
Korean Studies minor students are eligible to apply. The scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in the study of Korea and display a leadership role as an undergraduate student on campus. Each recipient will receive a $1,000 cash award. The deadline for the Fall 2009 Competition is November 20, 2009. Applications must include a completed application form available on this website, a CV and a personal statement. For further inquiries, please contact Professor Hongkyung Kim, Associate Director of Korean Studies Program, at 632-7362.
