Guest Services
If you are not a registered student, salaried faculty or staff, there still may be IT services available to you. These may vary depending on the type of guest you might be.
Conference Attendees:
If you are on Campus attending a conference you may be able to use GuestNet, Stony Brook’s wireless network for conferences. Your conference convener will provide you with an ID and password to use with GuestNet . Wireless set up for GuestNet is similar to AirNet set up.
Visiting Scholars, Affiliates, Vendors, and Others:
The key to accessing IT services and most Library facilities is having your data entered into our PeopleSoft database so that you can be issued a Stony Brook University ID card. Your sponsor will be able to have information about you, and your affiliation entered into our database by a departmental or VP area coordinator. For certain services you may need to sign on to SOLAR and set up your NetID and NetID password.
