Stony Brook University Reporting is a "data warehouse" of student, course and financial data from PeopleSoft. This information is copied from the PeopleSoft database the previous day.
Depending on the level of access assigned, the user may enter specific report parameters and then download a report to Excel so that they can work with the information. For instance, you can get a report of all students in your major or a simple class roster report that includes valuable contact information such as address, e-mail and telephone numbers for each student in a class.
Each area has a designated "Data Custodian" responsible for granting access. If your job requires that you use the Stony Brook University Reporting system you must request access by emailing the appropriate Data Custodian for each area that you need access to.
Once the Data Custodian grants you access they will send you an e-mail with an attachment in it. This attachment is a shortcut to the reporting site on the "remote" (terminal) server. You must log in to the "remote" server using your NetID and NetID password.
If you have a problem accessing the "remote" terminal server, call Client Support at 632-9800.
Once you are in the Stony Brook University Reporting site, click the Support tab to access the help documents and to report problems.
