Home or Road Access

Faculty can access their Stony Brook files in a number of different ways when they are traveling or working from home.

Work-at-Home Service (VPN)

Stony Brook University's Work-at-Home service (VPN) allows faculty members to connect to University resources such as shared folders, PeopleSoft and internal Web sites from off-campus using DSL or cable. Faculty can access this service using their NetID and NetID password.

To access the Work-at-Home service, go to http://sslj.wah.stonybrook.edu/. You will have to install the Juniper software the first time you connect.

For documentation on installing and using the Work-at-Home service, please see:

For Windows | For Mac

If you have trouble installing or setting up the Work-at-Home client, please contact Client Support at (631) 632-9800 or by e-mail at supportteam@stonybrook.edu.

Portable Lotus Notes

Faculty can install their Lotus Notes e-mail client on a USB flash memory device and plug it into any Windows machine on campus or around the world. To do so, follow these instructions.
