21st ICFA Beam Dynamics Workshop on Laser-Beam Interactions, June 11-15, 2001 at Stony Brook USA

Accommodations for the workshop


Three options will be available by special arrangement with the Workshop:

Each participant must make their own reservation with the hotel under conference : “Advanced ICFA Beam Dynamics” ...  otherwise they will not receive the special rate nor will they be in the block of rooms that we have reserved.

1) Danfords on the Sound, Port Jefferson. Room price (tax NOT included) $149.  The deadline for registration at Workshop special rate is April 27, 2001.

2) Holiday Inn Express, Stony Brook. Room price (tax NOT included) $109.  The deadline for registration at Workshop special rate is May 19, 2001.

3) On Campus housing (download FORM). The price is $ 30.50 for a single, $22.50 for a double per person. The registration deadline is May 24, 2001.

Note change in on-campus housing: The domitory designation is now "Hand College" in Tabler Quad (click here for MAP). Directions and distances are similar to the Student Activities Center (SAC). Participants staying in the on-campus housing may check-in anytime Sunday (5/10) at the Hand College office.



Summer Conference Housing is available on campus at Hand College in Tabler Quad, approximately 5-10 minutes walking distance or a quick bus ride to the SAC. The rooms are located in newly refurbished residential halls which are non air-conditioned. They consist of six-person suites containing three bedrooms, a sitting room, and bathroom. Bedrooms can be singles or doubles.

Beds are made up prior to arrival. Other bedroom supplies are furnished, including towels and fans. An on-campus dialing phone is in each bedroom, but calls can be made using an 800-calling card.

Each residence hall quadrangle has attractive outdoor areas where guests frequently meet for informal conversations. A large-screened television and ping-pong and/or billiard table are also available for guests in the lounge of each building.
