The Humanities Institute has reserved rooms for guests attending the "Cosmopolitanism and Globalization" conference at The Radisson Hotel, not far from campus. If you plan to attend the Conference, please call the Radisson hotel at 631-758-2900, and mention that you are coming to the Humanities Institute Conference. They will give you the special conference rate. A free shuttle bus will bring guests from the hotel to campus each morning and return guests in the evening. If you would like to join the conference dinners at the hotel on Thursday and Friday evenings, please write a check to the HISB for $45 per meal.
If you are driving and require direction to the hotel, please phone Ann Berrios at 631-632-9983. There are regular trains from Penn Station, New York, to Stony Brook and Port Jefferson, which is close by. The Port Jefferson Ferry runs from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson several times a day. You can book online. There are also direct trains from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma; a free shuttle bus will bring guests to the Radisson Hotel once the hotel knows your time of arrival.
