Verification Process

Verification is a process required by the U.S. Department of Education, in which specific items reported on your FAFSA are verified through other documents. If your application has been selected for Institutional Verification, the required documents will be listed on your SOLAR "To Do" list.

Your awards will not be finalized and funds will not be released until we receive the necessary documentation and your file is verified. As a result of verification or new information such as scholarships you are receiving, changes can be made to your financial aid amounts or awards. In this case, you will receive a SOLAR message advising you of the changes.
