Orientation for State Classified Employees
Orientation for State Faculty/Professional Employees takes place on Main Campus. This required program is broken down into three parts. Part one runs from 09:00AM to 01:00PM, and conveys essential information on healthcare benefits, employment earnings, and University policies and procedures. It is critical that you attend on the date you are scheduled as benefit enrollment must be completed within 30 days of your appointment. Part two session includes information on Sexual Harassment Prevention, Right to Know, and Workplace Violence/Domsetic Violence Prevention. Prior to attending part 2 it is mandatory that a employee complete the on-line piece for Sexual Harassment found at http://www.goer.state.ny.us/Training_Development/Online_Learning/SH/intro.html. It is highly encouraged that you attend the annual Employee Benefits and Services Fair. This session runs from 11:30AM to 02:30PM, and covers important information regarding the various campus departments and resources available to you as an employee. For more information about the areas that will be covered in part 1, please view the presenters.
New employees are scheduled for New Employee Orientation directly through Human Resource Services. If you do not receive an invitation to your home address within two weeks of your appointment, or have any questions prior to your orientation, please contact Human Resource Services.
