- The guest lectures were interesting
- The classes are very debate-oriented and open
- The FLC curriculum is interesting to me
- I liked that student questions were being addressed by speakers and instructor

- The briefings and discussions were useful, they helped to improve my understanding
- The three most important things I learned: "1. What is globalization," "2. How it affects us," "3. How can we play a role"
- I think the participation of class was great
- I liked having to come up with questions from the reading
- The discussions were less formal (than usual)
3. READINGS
- The readings offered a wide range of perspectives
- I liked the reading on deforestation, ….and on the United Nations
- I liked readings that were less technical and more philosophical
4. INSTRUCTOR/TA/SYLLABUS/CLASS EMAILS
- Professor Kurthen was enthusiastic about the subject
- Emails helped me to understand current issues related to globalization
- I liked the cordial and collegial approach and atmosphere
- Emails gave me insight and direction
5. GRADING
- The grading was easy if you did your work
- The grading is very fair
- The mid-term was very fair, the set-up and the grading
6. MID-TERM TEST/TERM PAPER/EXTRACURRICULAR PROJECT
- Projects were all interesting-not the same old thing
- I liked the mid-term and working in groups
- I was attracted by the idea of learning on a broader scale
7. OTHER COMMENTS
- The FLC caused me to think outside the box
- The course is very educational, the students are friendly and intelligent, and the topics are very interesting
- I (now) consider myself a global citizen
- It's a very fun class
- The trip to the United Nations opened my eyes about global institutions
- I think to learn about globalization will be useful on a day to day basis…It could help on the job market…Its good business to know things….
