| Howard Hughes Medical Institute Undergraduate Research Fellows Academic Year and Summer Awards |
- The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Undergraduate Research Fellowship program provides support to selected students in support of their research in the biological sciences at Stony Brook.
- These awards are open to undergraduate students who will be enrolled in biological research with a Stony Brook faculty member for the summer. It is the responsibility of the student to contact a faculty member for this purpose.

| URECA - Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity Summer Fellowships |
- The URECA (Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities) Program enables SB students to engage in full-time faculty-mentored research or creative activity for ten weeks.
- The URECA summer research program provides a $3500 stipend to select Stony Brook undergraduates doing full-time research or creative activity for ten weeks in the summer under the supervision of a Stony Brook faculty member.
- Students in all majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply. For further program information, visit the URECA website.
- Undergraduates may also apply for URECA Small Grants and/or URECA Travel Grants.
