Linda & Richard Gelfond Scholarship
  • Must be high achieving high school student.
  • Must have minimum cumulative high school GPA of 92.
  • Must exhibit strong leadership skills as defined by student accomplishments.
  • One year undergraduate award.
Incoming Freshman An application is required by June 30th. Click here to download the application.
Linda & Richard Gelfond Scholarship
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
  • Must exhibit strong leadership skills as defined by student accomplishments.
  • One year undergraduate award.
Sophomore, Junior An application is required by August 15th. Click here to download the application.
Senior Leadership and Service Awards
  • Awarded to a student who has made an outstanding contribution to campus life by making a difference in the lives of other Stony Brook Community members.
  • Nominees must have demonstrated leadership and/or service through tangible contributions to the University.
  • Nominees must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 at the time of the nomination.

Shiming Hu Memorial Scholarships
  • Leadership Award - For a graduating senior who has played a significant leadership role in an Asian interest club or organization on campus.
  • Chinese Studies Scholarship - For an upper-division student (Junior or Senior) displaying excellence in the study of Chinese language or culture.

Stony Brook Alumni Association Scholarships

  • The Alumni Association is sponsoring eight awards to students who have excelled in different areas, including academics, leadership, and the improvement of community life.
  • Recipients will receive a cash award and will be recognized at the Undergraduate Recognition Awards Ceremony on May 2 and the Alumni Association Scholarship Golf Classic dinner on June 20.

LSAMP- Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation
  • SUNY LSAMP is funded to increase the number of underrepresented minorities (AFrican-American, Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, and Native Pacific Islander) who pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
  • Must be either a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • The LSAMP program is especially interested in high-achieving students who intend to pursue post-baccalaureate studies in science or mathematics and or bachelor degrees in engineering.
