Project Lead the Way Scholarship
  • This scholarship is for $2500 a year for four consecutive years.
  • Student must be admitted to a major in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. 
  • Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA, full time enrollment and good standing. 
  • Student must be in good standing in a Project Lead the Way program.
Freshman

LSAMP- Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation
  • SUNY LSAMP is funded to increase the number of underrepresented minorities (AFrican-American, Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, and Native Pacific Islander) who pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
  • Must be either a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • The LSAMP program is especially interested in high-achieving students who intend to pursue post-baccalaureate studies in science or mathematics and or bachelor degrees in engineering.
  • The SUNY LSAMP program is not funded to support students declaring majors in medicine, nursing, or allied health sciences.

LSAMP-OEDG- Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation- Opportunities for Enhancing Diversity in Geosciences

  • LSAMP-OEDG is funded to increase the number of underrepresented minorities (African-American, Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, and Pacific Islander) who pursue academic and/or professional careers in the Geosciences (Earth Sciences, Geology, marine Science, and Meteorology).
  • Must be either a citizen or permanent resident of the United STates
  • The LSAMP-OEDG program is especially interested in high-achieving students who intend to pursue post-baccalaureate studies in Geoscience.

Sustainability Scholarship
  • Student must be enrolled full time (12 credit minimum).
  • Student must have declared major or minor in Environmental Studies, Marine Sciences, or Engineering.
  • Student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
  • Financial need will be considered.
  • One year undergraduate award.

College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Scholarships
  • There are several scholarships awarded to new students in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
  • These are based upon the demonstration of high academic achievement in high school.
  • The amounts and continuation of these scholarships are determined by a selection committee of the College.
  • Direct admission to the College is highly selective. For more details, visit the CEAS Website.
All To apply, submit your Application for Admission to the University by December 1st and the Online Supplemental Application by December 31st. No additional application is required for scholarships.
S-Stem II- Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
  • Supported by the National Science Foundation and administered by the Department of Technology & Society and the Center for Science and Mathematics Education.
  • Must be a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States.
  • Must be enrolled in a qualifying major.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA above 2.80.
  • Must have a current FAFSA form on file with the Stony Brook Office of Financial Aid and have demonstrated financial need.

George C. Warner Scholarship
  • Student must be majoring in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Math.
  • Student must be enrolled full time (12 credit minimum).
  • Student must have a current FAFSA form on file with the Stony Brook Office of Financial Aid and have demonstrated financial need.
  • In order to retain the scholarship student must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Freshman An application is required by May 1.
