Scholarship Name Criteria Academic Level How to Apply
DoIT Scholarship
  • Must be enrolled as a full time Stony Brook University undergraduate student
  • Must demonstrate interest in the field of Information Technology.
  • Must have completed at least 24 Stony Brook University credits prior to the year that the scholarship will be awarded.
  • Must be in good academic standing at the completion of the Spring Semester prior to the Fall Semester award.

LSAMP- Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation
  • SUNY LSAMP is funded to increase the number of underrepresented minorities (AFrican-American, Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, and Native Pacific Islander) who pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
  • Must be either a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • The LSAMP program is especially interested in high-achieving students who intend to pursue post-baccalaureate studies in science or mathematics and or bachelor degrees in engineering.

  • LSAMP-OEDG is funded to increase the number of underrepresented minorities (African-American, Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, and Pacific Islander) who pursue academic and/or professional careers in the Geosciences (Earth Sciences, Geology, marine Science, and Meteorology).
  • Must be either a citizen or permanent resident of the United STates
  • The LSAMP-OEDG program is especially interested in high-achieving students who intend to pursue post-baccalaureate studies in Geoscience.
