LYDIA SENATUS ★Rangel Fellowship Recipient

While many students aspire to be a doctor or lawyer, Lydia Senatus has spent her undergraduate years planning for a career as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer. Influenced by her upbringing as a first-generation American born to Haitian immigrants and study abroad experiences in China and Israel, Lydia has forged a path to success with the help of her faculty and staff mentors. Her efforts culminated in being selected as a 2018 Rangel Scholar which provides her with a fully funded Master’s degree in International Relations, an internship at an overseas embassy, and guaranteed placement in the U.S. Foreign Service.
