Biography

Turhan Canli is an internationally-known expert in psychology, neuroscience and genetics. His current research focuses on gene-environment interactions, specifically the moleculargenetic and epigenetic mechanisms that regulate gene expression across the human genome, which is applied to studies of individual differences in social stress reactivity, traits, and emotional behavior. He also uses cutting-edge methodologies, including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and magnetic brain stimulation in his research. His work has been featured by numerous national and international media outlets.
