Computer Science Building

The new state-of-the-art facility, which is being constructed in the lot between the current Computer Sciences building and the Engineering building, will contain a program mix of faculty and administration offices, research and teaching laboratories, a large wireless teaching lab and shared conference areas. Key program space includes five special-purpose computer science research labs (Digital Media Lab, Light Dome Lab, Graphics Lab, Sound Booth Lab and Wireless Sensor Lab); 18 general-purpose computer science research labs; two teaching labs; 63 faculty and post doc offices; 18 staff offices; undergrad/grad computing practice; undergrad/grad workspace; and a number of breakout spaces for collaborative and interdisciplinary work. The Computer Science building is expected to open Spring 2015.
