Mark Woodruff
Assistant Director of Facilities & Services
Mark Woodruff joined the Facilities & Services Staff in January of 2006. Having previously worked in Collegiate and Professional Sports as a Facilities and Operations Director, Mark came to Stony Brook from the Wachovia (Now Wells Fargo) Sports and Entertainment Complex in Philadelphia. He brings his extensive experience as a manager in Facilities and Event Operations to handling Special Projects and Initiatives for the Office of Administration and VP for Facilities and Services at Stony Brook University Main Campus, Research & Development Park and Southampton Campus.
Woodruff has managed several large facilities, stadiums and arenas and run a number of high profile events including;
- University at Buffalo Football Stadium
- Penn Relays
- Wachovia Center and Spectrum
- Republican National Convention
- NBA Championship Playoffs and Finals
- NBA All Star Game
- NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs
Woodruff attended The University of Massachusetts as an undergraduate and holds a Masters Degree in Sport and Recreation Administration from Temple University. He resides in Port Jefferson with his wife, Donna, who is the Executive Associate Athletic Director at Stony Brook University.
