Underground Electric Feeders Replacement
Today, the University began phase one of a two phase major infrastructure project to replace all underground electric feeders. The current cables and pathways are more than 40 years old and are in need of replacement. Phase I is scheduled to be completed Spring 2016. Phase II is scheduled to start Spring 2013 or when funds are appropriated. There will be trenches dug on west, east and south campus which will allow for the installation of the pathways. All buildings will have feeder cables connected to buildings in Phase II which will cause minor disruptions in service. The staff of Facilities and Services will work with your building manager to coordinate this work.
