Graham Glynn

Graham Glynn has a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacology and biochemistry from University College Dublin, Ireland.  Dr Glynn is the Executive Director of Teaching, Leaning and Technology at Stony Brook.  In this position he is responsible for all student computer labs, computer and traditional classrooms, back end systems such as the BlackBoard learning management system, faculty and student development.  Prior to Stony Brook he was the director of the Royer Center for Learning and Academic Technologies and a faculty member within the Commonwealth College at Penn State University where he was responsible for academic technology and faculty development at 18 of the regional campuses.  Prior to Penn State he was Director of the Office of Information Technology & Learning Resources at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska where he was instrumental in establishing the world’s first online School of Pharmacy. 

In addition to teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in neuroscience and pharmacology Dr. Glynn has taught numerous faculty development workshops on integrating technology into teaching, developing course web sites and information management.   He has developed numerous software applications to support innovative teaching approaches.
