Hazardous Waste Management Training
You are required to have training if you:
- Generate and/or decide if a material is a hazardous waste.
- Add hazardous waste into an accumulation container.
- Transport hazardous waste from a satellite accumulation point to a collection or 90-day storage area.
- Inspect hazardous waste storage areas.
- Respond to spills involving hazardous waste.
The Department of Environmental Health & Safety provides the required training and has scheduled training classes which last approximately one hour (see schedule below.) EH&S will also work with your department to set up additional classes, if you have a special need.
If you are not able to attend in person, you may choose to take an on-line training course. The course is available on the Hazardous Waste Management Training page.
