Environmental Coordinators
All departments have been asked to identify a person within their department to serve as an Environmental Coordinator (EC). The EC is the main point of contact that EH&S will have to communicate with regarding compliance and sustainability initiatives. The Environmental Coordinator is asked to take on the following roles and responsibilities:
- Main point of contact for the department.
- Attend coordinator training.
- Share information on training and audit updates with the department.
- Liaison for inspections and audits.
- Ensure environmental checklists are being used within the department.
- Refer departmental staff to website and other environmental information.
