October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and members of the Stony Brook University Community are encouraged to participate. Many of us are, know, or have friends/family members with disability. The purpose of NDEAM is to educate about disability employment related issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities.
Please help support National Disability Employment Awareness Month by going to our webpage http://www.stonybrook.edu/oide/equity/inclusion.html
- Watch a one minute video,
- Help us measure how well we are doing, by telling us if you have a disability or had one previously. Please use the Solar link https://tinyurl.com/y6wbm8n9 or download a form from our website and submit to OIDE@stonybrook.edu.
- Download a NDEAM poster and pin it to the department bulletin to show your support.
We as members of the Stony Brook University Community all play an important part in fostering a more inclusive workforce, one where every person is recognized for their abilities — every day of every month.
Thank you so much for your support and participation.
