to the Summer Camps
June 25 to August 17, 2012
Welcome to the Summer Camps at Stony Brook University, where your child can
have an unforgettable experience at our traditional day camp, and/or in one of our
themed academies. We offer three-, four-, or five-day options and campers can
enroll in as little as two weeks of camp. Our camp day runs from 9:00 am to
4:00 pm. Before and After Care is available for an additional cost. Lunch, snack,
and one camp shirt are included in the price.

Janice Maggio, Camp Director, has been with The Summer Camps at Stony Brook since day one, more than 12 years ago. She has worked closely with parents and educators to develop a camp filled with a great variety of enrichment, athletics, and educational-based activities. Janice and her family live in Setauket.
Nicholas Fucci, Assistant Director, is in his second year at The Summer Camps. Nick has an MBA in general management and an MS in adolescent education. He has more than 15 years of camp experience. He, his wife, and daughter live in Holbrook.
Day Camp
Our exceptional educational program integrates areas of mathematics, science, history, technology, language, and the arts. Children at our camp will stretch their imagination, apply their skills, and expand on their knowledge and creativity in ways they never thought possible.

Camp Academies
The Academies are designed for the camper that has a specific interest in a particular program. Campers will spend half their day in the chosen program and the other half participating in day camp activities (unless otherwise noted). A hot lunch, snack, and one camp shirt are included. Enrollment is limited to 20 campers per academy, all on a first-come, first-served basis.

Seawolves Sports Camps
Campers can choose to participate in activities such as basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and touch football. More info »
