Welcome to The Summer Camps
June 25 to August 17, 2012
Welcome to The Summer Camps at Stony Brook University, where your child can have an unforgettable experience at our traditional day camp, and/or one of our
themed academies. We offer three-, four-, or five-day options and campers can enroll in as little as two weeks of camp. Our camp day runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Before and After Care is available for an additional cost. Lunch, snack, and one camp shirt are included in the price.
Swimming
Every day your child will enjoy approximately one hour of pool time in our six-lane, 25-yard swimming pool, which provides plenty of room for splashing around. All pool activities will be supervised by water safety instructors, licensed lifeguards, and camp counselors.
Janice Maggio, Camp Director, has been with The Summer Camps at Stony Brook since day one, more than 12 years ago. She has worked closely with parents and educators to develop a camp filled with a great variety of enrichment, athletics, and educational-based activities. Janice and her family live in Setauket.
Nicholas Fucci, Assistant Director, is in his second year at The Summer Camps. Nick has an MBA in general management and an MS in adolescent education. He has more than 15 years of camp experience. Nick lives in Holbrook with his wife and daughter.
