Adrienne Munich's main areas of research are in Victorian literature and culture, early modernism, material culture, and fashion theory. She co-edits the journal, Victorian Literature and Culture. Author of books and articles about Victorian aesthetics and interpretation, Queen Victoria, Victorian food, early modern royal uses of the radio, and the blue diamond in the film, Titanic, she and a former Stony Brook Ph.D. student have recently edited two books about Amy Lowell, the American modern poet. Currently, she is working on a project about diamonds that focuses on the 1867 discovery of diamonds in South Africa, an interdisciplinary program on fashion studies, and a collection of personal essays about inherited jewels. A selection of recent courses and Ph.D. seminars includes, New York Fashion, Fictions and Finances, Mind-Altered Victorians, Victorian Sexualities/Victorian Genders, and Fetishism and Thing Theory.
