Stony Brook University’s Homecoming and Reunion Weekend, also known as “Wolfstock,” is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 17–18, and will offer alumni, students, faculty, staff, and the local community an opportunity to reconnect with each other and celebrate an institution on the rise–nationally and internationally. The event is presented in part by the Stony Brook Alumni Association, in cooperation with University Advancement, Student Affairs, Athletics, and the Office of the President.
This year’s Homecoming and Reunion Weekend is designed to enable our alumni to ‘"rediscover" their alma mater, to take pride in its achievements, and be a more integrated part of its future. We believe the changes will enable us to showcase the University more broadly, involve more of our students, connect groups of alumni with each other, and provide something for everyone to enjoy. By hosting some of our events in the Charles B. Wang Center and elsewhere in the heart of the campus, alumni and other attendees will get a first-hand look at our beautifully transformed campus.
Many aspects of Homecoming are free of charge and all are open to the public. Only two activities require a registration fee: the Reunion Reception (Friday evening; details below) and the pre-game Tailgate Party (Saturday) with live music, beer garden, and an “all-you-can-eat” barbeque buffet from Famous Dave’s. Pre-registration discounts are available for the Tailgate Party, and each admission includes a ticket to the Seawolves football game that afternoon.

This year marks the return of a true “reunion” event on Friday evening at the Charles B. Groups such as the Black & Latino Alumni Group, EOP/AIM, the “Founders Group,” and the Statesman are just a few of those organizing their fellow alumni to take part in the reunion reception. The reunion will also offer graduates of years ending in “3” or “8” a chance to reunite and reminisce with former classmates. Don’t miss it!
