Pocket Theater is a student-run organization that is supported by Stony Brook University Faculty Student Organization.
Pocket Theatre provides a forum to participate in all aspects of theatre production and performance. Individuals of every level of experience and all disciplines in theatrics are encouraged to challenge themselves and to help us put on productions.
Each semester Pocket Theatre produces two to three shows of any and all genres. Club members vote on what to produce, as well as a design team. Auditions are then held to select performers, and further positions involving chrous or crew may be selected on a volunteer basis.
During meetings club members may discuss opportunites to participate in or attend theatre productions both on campus through the theater department, or locally. Furthermore, club members may choose to participate in workshops, where they can share technique and experience.
