The Center for Survey Research specializes in writing customized questionnaires to the highest academic standards and has generated a large number of unique surveys and questionnaires on topics that range from satisfaction with local life to health-related issues such as childhood obesity.
Dr. Leonie Huddy, the CSR Director, works directly on all questionnaires. She regularly teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses on Survey Research and applies her knowledge of best practices in questionnaire construction to projects conducted by the CSR. She has taught courses in Survey Sampling and Questionnaire Development at the University of Essex’s Summer School in Social Science Methodology. Questions developed by the Center for Survey Research routinely appear in national poll data archives such as Roper’s ipoll, and Kaiser’s health poll search, have appeared in poll reviews in the journal Public Opinion Quarterly, and been repeated by media polling organizations such as CBS.
