The Stony Brook University Center for Survey Research conducts telephone, web and mail interviews with people and organizations on Long Island, in New York State, and throughout the United States. Our goal is to provide high quality research services to academics, university administration, federal, state, and local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and the news media. Our facility received initial equipment funds from the National Science Foundation in July of 1999 and since then we have conducted countless surveys and recruited subjects for numerous research studies which are detailed in our Projects section.
Our data collection methods can involve a single type of research methodology such as calling respondents, or a mixed-mode methodology such as a web survey with follow-up telephone calling to non-respondents to capture as many interviews as possible. In today’s world of multiple demands, we need to be smart and efficient about how we contact people to obtain their valuable opinion for our clients.
