About the Program
Founded in 1948, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) is located in Wuhan
in Central China. ZUEL is an institution of higher education under the Ministry of
Education of the People’s Republic of China with economics, law, and management as
its core disciplines. As well as this, other disciplines include literature, history,
philosophy, and engineering. ZUEL is also one of the universities sponsored by “211
project”, which is the Chinese government's new endeavor aimed at strengthening about
100 institutions of higher education and key disciplinary areas as a national priority
for the 21st century.

Course of Study
The program will have a broad selection of courses. Students will also have the opportunity to interact and make friends with their peers from around the globe.

This is an exchange program. Applications must be submitted to Stony Brook University first. Information regarding the next steps in the process will be distributed to students who have received formal nominations by their Exchange Advisor.

$55 per month approximately. Note: The host university may also require a domestic health plan, and will send details regarding costs to students directly.

Housing arrangements are coordinated directly with the partner university. Cost will vary depending on accommodation types and personal preference.
Cost Comparison: The average cost for a full time Stony Brook Student including tuition, insurance, housing, and meal plan is approximately $10,445 in-state and $15,735 out-of-state.
Grades earned in an exchange program WILL NOT calculate towards the cumulative GPA for SBU students.
Non-SBU students must contact their home university regarding their grade and credit transfer policy.
