About the Program

Students enroll directly in University courses alongside other Chinese and international students. Language study is possible. HKUST offers over 80 Bachelor's and Associate degree programs each year. Hong Kong University of Science and Technology specializes in science and engineering as well as business management. 


Course of Study

*Minimum of 12 undergraduate credits required
The program will have a broad selection of courses within the School of Science and the School of Engineering. Students will also have the opportunity to interact and makes friends with their peers from around the globe.

Housing arrangements are coordinated directly with the partner university. Cost will vary depending on accommodation types and personal preference.

Cost Comparison: The average cost for a full time Stony Brook Student including tuition, insurance, housing, and meal plan is approximately $10,445 in-state and $15,735 out-of-state.

Grades earned in an exchange program WILL NOT calculate towards the cumulative GPA for SBU students.

Non-SBU students must contact their home university regarding their grade and credit transfer policy.
