This winter, FUA offers groundbreaking opportunities to integrate experiential learning and professionalizing experiences to students' course of study in Florence.

Course of Study

Participants will register for a 3 credit-internship course. All participants following the Stony Brook Curriculum (SBC) will fulfill GLO and EXP+ in addition to requirement(s) fulfilled by their coursework.

Internship placements are suggested to the applying student on the grounds of his/her application. Two possible placement options may be offered based on the applicant's profile:

1) Experiential Learning Projects

Community Engagement Member Institutions (CEMI) are suggested for those students who want to acquire a vantage point for their experience without having the necessary language requirements needed for external placements.

Opportunities are available in International Education, Hospitality, and Marketing & Communications.

2) External Internship Placements

FUA prides itself on having developed over the years a wide network of internship placements. In order to be eligible for external placements, students must undergo an evaluation by both the internship department and the external placement supervisor.

Internship placements include Education, Accounting, Fundraising, Management, Marketing, and Public Relations.
