About the Program
Hanyang International Summer School (HISS) was first established in 1997 to encourage
international exchanges between Hanyang and its partner universities. HISS offers a wide-range of courses including Korean Studies, Humanities, Business,
Economics, International Relations, Media, Design, Science, Sports and Korean Language. All
courses are instructed in English by Hanyang faculty and renowned educators invited
from prominent institutions abroad.

The program will have a broad selection of courses, along with local excursions and cultural activities available for International Summer Exchange participants. Students will also have the opportunity to interact and make friends with their peers from around the globe. *Please note these arrangements and additional fees involved are coordinated directly with the partner university.

This is an exchange program. Applications must be submitted to Stony Brook University first. Information regarding the next steps in the process will be distributed to students who have received formal nominations by their Exchange Advisor.

Independent Arrangement (Dormitory style residence coordinated directly with the partner university)
March 1 (Deadline extended to March 15)
$257 per credit for NY residents;
$816 per credit for non-residents

Included in the Program Fee
$2,500 (approximately; Students pay room, board, books, transportation and other university fees directly to overseas university)
$1,800 (approximately; Students are responsible for their travel arrangements including airfare, visa costs)
Costs are estimates for planning purposes of the student and are subject to change at any point.
Housing arrangements are coordinated directly with the partner university. Cost will vary depending on accommodation types and personal preference.
Grades earned in an exchange program WILL NOT calculate towards the cumulative GPA for SBU students.
Non-SBU students must contact their home university regarding their grade and credit transfer policy.
