About the Program

Study in Paris and broaden your educational horizons at Efrei for four weeks this summer! Areas of study include IT, Management and French. Students will also have the opportunity to interact and make friends with French and international students from around the globe.


Course of Study

*9 undergraduate credits required

For the 2015 summer semester Efrei will offer 3 course modules and a cultural excursion program, all of which are mandatory.
The course modules are:

  • Computer Science Module: Information System Conception and Design
  • Management Module: Project Planning
  • French Language and Culture Module (DEC I, SBC GLO EXP+)
  • Sightseeing and Cultural Program

*Instruction in English
Courses Monday-Thursday, with time for excursions and travel Friday-Sunday

This is an exchange program. Applications must be submitted to Stony Brook University first. Information regarding the next steps in the process will be distributed to students who have received formal nominations by their Exchange Advisor.

Candidates may be interviewed to determine their qualifications for participating and representing Stony Brook University abroad.

Application Fee $60
Tuition Rate $270 per credit for NY residents ; $988 per credit for non-residents
Program Fee

$1,200 (includes double room, breakfast, airport transfer, 1 month local transportation pass, international health insurance)

Administrative Fee $200 (non-refundable)
International Health Insurance Included in the Program Fee
Other Fees

$1,200 (approximately; estimated additional meals, personal spending, passport, etc.)

Travel Costs

$1,500 (approximately; Students are responsible for their travel arrangements including airfare, visa costs)

Costs are estimates for planning purposes of the student and are subject to change at any point.

More Information

Grades earned in an exchange program WILL NOT calculate towards the cumulative GPA for SBU students.

Non-SBU students must contact their home university regarding their grade and credit transfer policy.
