Student Recruitment and Hiring Through Handshake
This workshop will showcase the tips and tricks of Using Handshake, the Career Center’s online job database. Attendees will understand the language of Handshake including contacts versus users, and company versus division. They will also learn how to post jobs, select students, search for students by major or skills, sign up for a career fair, save previous job postings for quick reference, and use the system’s messaging tools.
Best Practices in Student Employment
Come learn from each other in this group discussion on supervising student employees. Share tips and tricks in successfully supervising and adding to the growth of your student employees.
Supervisor Training
Want to provide your student employees with an enriching and resume building experience? Learn how to develop your student employees into excellent workers that are well prepared for the full time job force. We will discuss preparation, training, setting standards, providing feedback, and performance evaluations.
