The Office of E-Learning supports students taking courses in the School of Professional Development (SPD) with course-related issues on all online, blended, cohort, and supplemental Blackboard sites.
There are many technologies and resources supported by SPD's Office of E-Learning and most will be delivered via the learning management system, Blackboard. Research Skills Webinar
SBU librarians offer an online workshop that orients students to the resources available at the University, including how to find articles, books, research tutorials, and other tools to help them succeed in their classes. The webinar covers the basic research skills needed to complete assignments quickly and easily, using the specific subscription resources available through the Stony Brook University Libraries.
SBU librarians offer citation support and style guides for SPD students, as well as tutorials that support academic honesty and integrity in the classroom. This information can be found on their SPD Library Guide website, or explained in one of the citation skills webinars offered in the Fall and Spring terms.
