2014 Siemens Competition.
SB Press Release 10.27.14 - 17 Siemens Competition Regional Finalists mentored at Stony Brook
Semifinalists include: Simons Fellows Ayesha Chhugani who worked with Dr. Abhay Deshpande in Physics & Astronomy; Benjamin Schiffer who worked with Dr. Carlos Simmerling in Chemistry; Anu Sharma who worked with Drs. Benjamin Chu and Benjamin Hsiao in Chemistry.
Regional Finalists include: Simons Fellows Sarah Lee who worked with Dr. Iwao Ojima in Chemistry; Kameron Sedigh who worked with Dr. Peter Tonge in Chemistry; Kunal Singh who worked with Dr. Dimitris Samaras in Computer Science; and Ziheng (Tony) Wang who worked with Dr. Carlos Simmerling in Chemistry.

Recent Simons Fellows honored at the Intel ISEF competition include: Justin Barish (Systems Software); Scott Mass (Cellular & Molecular Biology); Vaishnavi Shrivastava (Biomedical and Health Sciences); and Glenn Yu (Biochemistry). Glenn will be coming back to Stony Brook to attend the Stony Brook Symposium on Chemical Synthesis in Life Sciences where his mentor, Prof. Ojima, will be honored.

Semifinalists include: Aswin Bikkani who worked with Dr. Aaron Neiman in Biochemistry & Cell Biology; Ien Li who worked with Dr. Christine DeLorenzo in Psychiatry; Zachary Marcone who worked with Dr. Michael Rijssenbeek in Physics & Astronomy; Scott Massa who worked with Dr. David Talmage in Pharmacological Sciences & Dr. Lorna Role in Neurobiology; Saranesh Prembabu who worked with Dr. Matthew Dawber in Physics & Astronomy; Vaishnavi Shrivastava who worked with Dr. Yi-xian Qin in Biomedical Engineering; Kevin Yoon who worked with Drs. Benjamin Hsiao, Benjamin Chu and Hongyang Ma in Chemistry; and Glenn Yu who worked with Dr. Iwao Ojima in Chemistry. This year's Intel STS Finalists include: Ien Li, Scott Massa, and Saranesh Prembabu.
