Meet up with other postdocs from Stony Brook and Brookhaven National Lab tonight, Friday, March 18, 8pm @ Brewology in Port Jeff (201 Main St., Port Jefferson). Food and drink available for purchase. Information about parking at the Village of Port Jeff parking lots is available here

2. Women in Bio Entrepreneurship & Innovation Panel Discussion, NYC, Mar 24, 6pm

Women in Bio, in partnership with our sponsor, the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute, will host a panel discussion on what it takes to be a healthcare industry entrepreneur and company founder. Panelists, moderated by Dee Dao (NYU Entrepreneurial Institute and Associate, NYU Innovation Venture Fund), will discuss their experiences and offer insights into the challenges and benefits of founding a company.

3. Career Symposium: Beyond Academia: Bench to Business, Apr 22, Cold Spring Harbor

The Beyond Academia Forum is an annual event held for academic scientists, clinicians, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students from Greater New York area with an interest in non-academic careers. This one-day event will broaden knowledge of potential career paths in life sciences for individuals with advanced degrees who are interested in pursuing a nonresearch based career.

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) is looking for new members of its postdoc advisory committee. The committee meets quarterly to advise the Office on issues pertaining to postdocs. Join now and give input on OPA's upcoming postdoc needs assessment survey and planning for this year's National Postdoc Appreciation Week Sept 19-23, 2016.
