Stony Brook University, in collaboration with Brookhaven National Laboratory, the The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, will be holding a career symposium on March 19th 2013 on the campus of Stony Brook University. The “Research Your Future” Career Symposium is sponsored by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) and is open to graduate students and postdocs at the participating institutions. This full-day event is being run by graduate students and postdocs and includes a series of panel discussions by professionals in the areas of academia, finance, patent law, government, and industry. The day's schedule also includes lunch and an afternoon networking session with local businesses from the tri-state area. Our goal is to provide you with the opportunity to learn about the paths these professionals took to find their dream careers and to mingle with local business representatives who may be looking for PhDs with your skills. For those interested in attending, please see the deadlines and details below for registration and the event schedule.
