Pre- Arrival Information for International Students

Housing Information

• Students must pay a $200 deposit by May 15th to apply for on-campus graduate housing for their August arrival.
• Students can also access the Graduate Housing website for more information about graduate housing:   http://studentaffairs.stonybrook.edu/res/apartments.shtml
• Students must wait until they are officially accepted by both their department and the Graduate School, and then log into Solar to pay.
• Matriculated students will need to log into Solar, click on "Campus Housing" and then "Graduate/Family Housing Apt. Deposit" to pay the deposit.
• If you do not have a credit card and absolutely cannot pay online, they can pay by check.  They can mail a check made payable to "Stony Brook University", place your Stony Brook ID number in the memo section of the check, and mail it to:
