Auditions - Spring 2012
Jazz Ensemble (MUS 267, MUS 264 and MUS 568) - Ray Anderson
Jazz auditions will be held Tuesday, January 24 and Wednesday Jan. 25. Audition Sign-Up Sheets are posted outside the Music Dept. Office - 3304 Staller Center. Auditions will be 15 minutes/person. You will be asked to demonstrate sight-reading skills, major/minor scale proficiency, ability to spell chords, and improvisation skills. There are no minimum skill levels required, and auditions are open to everyone, Music Majors/Minors (undergraduate and graduate), Non-Music Majors, and the general public (all ages). You needn't bring music, but you may if you wish.
University Orchestra (MUS 262) - Susan Deaver
Sign up sheet is posted next to room 2342. Auditions will be held Tuesday, January 24. Requirements: Two short contrasting excerpts from a solo or concerto of your choice or three contrasting orchestral excerpts.
