Stony Brook Community Music Programs
Community Chamber Music Program
(formerly the Adult Chamber Program)
The Community Music Programs at Stony Brook welcome all amateur musicians interested in participating in chamber music ensembles for the Fall 2016 semester. As a member of an ensemble, you will find a supportive environment in which to expand your depth of musical expression in a small group setting.
Participants will be placed in compatible chamber music groups and will meet with a coach for five sessions, in preparation for a concert in the Staller Recital Hall. Groups are carefully assembled according to skill level and experience.
The rehearsal location and times are scheduled at the mutual convenience of the coach and the group members. In addition to the five coached rehearsals, groups are encouraged to meet and rehearse on their own.
