Pre-College Summer Immersion in Korean Language and Culture
With the support of the US Department of State and the American Councils for International Education, the Center for Korean Studies implements a six-week summer immersion program titled, “Pre-College Summer Immersion in Korean Language and Culture” in Korea for high school students selected from all around the country in Summer 2015. This six-week, four college credit-bearing, intensive beginning-level Korean immersion course is highly integrated with daily cultural activities, excursions and task-based projects so that students will fully immerse themselves into the local culture and community as well as practice Korean. The program aims to expose students to a foreign language and culture in order for them to build a deeper understanding of the subject country, through which to help them grow as global citizens.
